To Read Fantasy In Paperback | sprinkledpages

I thought it would be a fun idea to chat about some of the fantasy books I am dying to read that are in paperback (also in hardback but I have paperback copies of them). This is different from my TBR because I don't know when I'll be reading them but I had the sudden urge today just to talk about some books without doing a review or recommendation so here I am!

I was thinking about doing another part to this where I chat about some of my to-reads in hardback so let me know in the comments below if you'd like to see that happen too!

1 | EMPIRE OF STORMS BY SARAH J MAAS

This is such an anticipated release and of course, I have been pretty excited for it also because I wanted to see what would happen next after Queen Of Shadows ended! As I write this, I have only started the book (so technically it's still a to-be-read because I haven't actually finished it yet, haha) but this post will be going up AFTER I publish the book review for that (whoops!) so sorry for the confusion in case you're wondering.

But I am so excited for it, and from where I'm at in the book, it's pretty darn good and hard to put down! (Not sure what will happen towards the end though because Sarah J Maas is very unpredictable as a writer so my sentiments may change).

In case you didn't know, Empire Of Storms is the fifth book in the Throne Of Glass series and I believe a sixth one is due to be released next year. If you have not yet read the Throne Of Glass series, read it!

I have done spoiler free book reviews for all the books in the series that have been released as well as a discussion linked down below. (The books are in order)

2 | THE WRATH AND THE DAWN BY RENEE AHDIEH

I have been absolutely dying to read this book because so many people have said such lovely things about it. It is also part of my September TBR. It also helps that the cover is absolutely BEAUT and the blurb sounds so, so good!

This is the first book in the duology and is a retelling of an Arabic fairytale called A Thousand And One Nights. I love retellings because I love how the author uses the older and well known fairy tale but then spins it into something new and intriguing. This book is also quite diverse with a more Arabian setting and characters which is awesome because I have been trying to read more diverse books and spread the love of diversity around!

All in all, I have a feeling this book's going to be a really good one!

3 | ASSASSINS' HEART BY SARAH AHIERS

So I got sent this as an ARC review copy from Harlequin Teen (thank you for that! However, I have not been paid to say this, it is my opinion) and I am very excited to read it because it sounds absolutely amazing! It's about a girl who falls in love with a boy from a rival clan. But when her family gets killed and the only suspect seems to be him and his clan, she sets out for revenege.

I love the idea of the assassin because it sounds very intriguing, especially the whole 'clans' part.

It sounds ridiculously action packed and full of twists and turns. I absolutely cannot wait to see what is going ot happen next!

4 | THE CROWN'S GAME BY EVELYN SKYE

I am so, so excited to read this! It sounds absolutely brilliant and lot's of fun. It's set in Russia as well and I love books that are set in different places of the world. It sounds very unique and extremely kick ass, action packed and an absolute thrill to read!

I know I've said 'excited' and 'love' a lot of times in this post but these are all books that sound amazing and so of course, I have to share my excitement over them (did it again!) by using the words 'like' 'love' and 'excited' to express that! #sorrynotsorry

Anyway, that's pretty much it. I know it has been a shorter one than usual but I am (hopefully) going to be able to do a second part to this where I chat about my to read fantasy but in hardback so I'll be able to share some of the other books I'm excited about.

What are some of the fantasy books you want to read?
